Who is Alun Michael?

He is the British Member of Parliament who questioned PM Gordon Brown in the British house of commons about British government government policy towards Somaliland.

In the late 90s Alun Michael was the Labour government spokesman on Homosexual affairs.

Read this link from the website of Gay activist Peter Tatchell and his references to Alun Michael, then home affairs minister with special responsibility for Gay affairs. In all fairness though, Mr Michael is not a gay guy. He is married.

You are aware, Mr. Speaker, that the President of Somaliland and members of his Cabinet are visiting Parliament at present. Will my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister join me in congratulating Somaliland on the way in which it has worked over the past 18 years, very quietly, through local government elections, parliamentary elections and presidential elections? When the people of the south have no real government and are still in a state of chaos, does not that record command respect from the international community?

I agree with my right hon. Friend, who is a friend of that country. I welcome the visitors to this country, and we will do everything that we can not only to help with international development for the countries with which we are associated, but to help to build the institutions of democracy.

For someone like Candhoole who hails from a family who has pioneered the homosexaulity when they wedded two of their fella clansmen in the infamous episode of Garadag, to be accusing others of homosexuals is quite laughable.

If that wasn't enough, this same Candhoole idolises Cabdilaahi Yusuf who is known to have recieved a dead British Homosexual's organs (ie liver).
