Galmudug seems interesting for moi Isaaq as a investment opprt.

Anyways I know about this Hong Kong company specialized in the shipping and port sector.
This combined with a certification from NCM to get a authentical port code could be a huge step man.
Forget about building schools , hospitals and all that nac nac.
It comes later...

Building a medium port + GM airport could be the big jump.
Now how do you collect in money from Somalis..
Arrange a meeting for let say top 4000 investors.
Make it like Dubai inc
Galmudug Inc with 4000 investors.
Relocate capital to beautiful Hobyo
With 14 million USD a respectable port with professional Hobyo Airport should arise

What you think?

I see the shapes of a beautiful city well organized with a paved roads coming up.
Hobyo will shine one day Insha Allah

I have plenty of money Sanaag as well , I do have som serious cash on my saving account.
Would't mind taking out a amount of 4000 - 5000 euro and join other wadani Somalis to create a new city.

But you Awdal boy..
you dont even have love for Somaliland
only your little region thats why you call it " awdaland "

shame

Dude i do have love for somaliland but there is no shame in my home and region coming first. The freakn Goverment in Somaliland has abondoned us just as the previous somali goverment so do u expect us to sit around and wait for their handouts, hell No we took things into our hands and are building and investing our region. Ill give ya an example why the hell would the Somaliland goverment try to force us to use the Berbera port for our Live stock from Somali galbeed when freakn Djbouti is right across and we have been using it for centuries.

how can you build a proper port for only 14 million USD ? are you even serious, a good quality port costs like 60-100 million USD!

and BTW hobyo is really overrated its so small unbelievable people even talk about it, its like 7-15 shacks near a beach only look it up on google earth, really one small ass tuulo

hmm could it be because Djibouti has no right profitise to the livestock of Awdal ?
Face it man .. the minute Somaliland gets recognised Djibouti is doomed.

I agree on one condition why reer Awdal should continue using the port of djibouti.
Untill the infrastructre becomes better and you guys can export trough Berbera
or a new port at Saylac or Lughaya.

PS Somaliland has not " abandoned " Awdal be real man.
who pays for the police in Awdal and border control?
what about public administration
with so few rescoures less than 40 mill USD budget yearly
The government is doing a fine job

Bosaaso port never costed beyond 11 mill USD , be real man ..
I know this shit like my own hand.

for 12 mill USD you can get something that works fine with OK capacity management.

Well we would have used Saylac but it was closed down and Abondoned in favour of Berbera because Melez Zenawi insisted and he got his wish. As for using Djbouti is because if Djbouti is profitable so are we, we live in both sides of the border. Lughaya is too close to Saylac and is basically a little town so now use there and the fact that there is no road connecting it with rest of the cities. As for Infrastracture dude we have been asking them to build the 30km that connects Dilla and Borame for 15 years now and nothing took place until we took things into our own hands and look at it a year later we are getting it done. As i said every region must invest in its region in order for us to get some where. As for Bebera port even habar/Jeclo rejected it because of the amount of Tax they wanna charge, so u telling me i should export through berbera when am going to get charged much less in Djbouti which is a alot closer and i dont have to deal with those freakn Raw meat eating Tigree in Berbera.

bosaso port was build a very long time ago, if you add inflation, the weakening dollar and the rising price of building equipment to todays money it would be like 40-50 million USD

if it was only 11 mln USD, it sure as hell was a good return on investment since it makes millions in revenue each year.

Awdal as I said
the only reason why I support your peoples refute of not using Berbera port.
Is because its difficult for you.
Same with Habr Jeclo
they loose a lot of sheeps on the harsh way from far places in hinterland of CeelAfweyn and Togdheer

On top of that the Saaxil charges them way too much when they arrive...

We need a change and balance in Berbera

I strongly believe in Awdal helping itself
but in stead of taking honor for it
Be a inspiration for other gobols

its mostly used for export of lifestock and import of foodstuffs & machinery

but there are some ethiopian companies that import through bosaso, but nothing major like in djibouti (90% ethiopian) or berbera (70% ethiopian) lol

Mj's ain't even united, the last thing that OM would want is to anger sacads, after the lesson we taught them in the 90s.

Adde muse begs sacads, especially with somaliland on he's door step.

Last month GM police force arrested a Mj tuug that tried to rob GM civilians.
