Submissive Vs. Opinionated Women?

Post by Koronto91 »

Our society has changed over the decades. We've imported many cultures and religious practices, which affected our societal norms and the role of women.

Which one? A submissive woman who dares not even bat her eye lashes at her man or a woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind?

Koronto:

Like xoogSade said a balance.

My wifey should be opinionated enough to give me her advice and submissive enough to let me have the last word.

I think both. You will have to be submissive to some extent and listen to what he is saying but if you think something is not right then you will need to say something. It is ok to be opinionated but as long as you repect other people's (i.e your husband's) opinion!

A women should be able to speak her mind to her husband and not hide any feelings from him.

However, she should obey him if his actions are in accordance with diinta.

I have the same opinion as Xoog

Marriage is not about who is stronger or who would have the last say etc If I were a man I would prefer to have a women who can be dependent if necessary! A strong women who can take care of the family if God forbid something happens.

To be strong does not mean to be loud or to show off with other people that you are giving orders to your husband etc...But to be able to reach good decisions for your family...I hate naagaha maydka ah ee yidhaahda " Daahi dariishadda aan xidhi lahaa ee abow ii imow"

Respect from both sides is vital...
