In the mind of today's somali children in west..
my friend's brother is at home with his 4 year-old twin girls after a month of trying to get court paperworks and RCMP's "lack of cooperation" as well as what he called it,"How fun the parenting classes are, YOU should try it!" (LOL) When he and his mother showed up with the police and the orders,
the mother tried to run off the girls, why because America qalad laga fahmey...lol She did not have proof of court orders of her own to state she has the right to keep the girls at all. Like, how smart she is when she claimed that the justice system ALWAYS side with mothers only? And he could tell that the girls missed him terribly because when they saw him, they ran to him and never let go of him.
So I wonder, for the girls their age, is it traumatizing for them to realize they have been snatched by three people, and had to adjust to a lifestyle with a woman who is their mother, who never wanted to raise them in the first place as well as not show much love by waiting for the child tax benefit cheque to arrive so she could run off to some aros ceremony for the weekend and come home late and tired and no money left for food to feed the girls?

Hell Yh, if the bytch aint acting like a mother to the kids and is running off woried about her life then why not?, there's the father who loves his two daughters and is ready to take good care of em.
just cause they came out of her doesnt mean she's always right!

Walaal we dont know the whole story here...i agree there is some unfit mothers outhere laakin you have to understand some girls get married very young...they are not mature enough to raise children...back home you get help from everybody..grannies..aunties..uncles..it takes a village to raise a child....that is the biggest problem we have in the west...the parents cant breath....every person are entitled to social life....you cant be with the kids 24 hours...the only option left is to leave the kids to gaalo...which in the long run result you become stranger to ur kids...you hardly see them.
So what is the solution?....take the kids away from their mother just because she want go out at weekends....that is not fair.

Re: In the mind of today's somali children in west..
That's true sis, agree with you 100% sis..lakin this woman got married in her twenties, was never a party woman but now all she wants is to party every weekend even when she is not invited to the wedding when the husband wants to be there for his children...yes there was one time she was a stable parent but the dynamic between them was a mess always...Help or without help...she is the one who supposed to be a mother to these babies, she is the one who should give them love&nurture them rather than partying with some single bitches who are only interesting in picking up random men in some aroos..a marwo should be a marwo....social life can always wait when you have responsibilities in life specially when you have to raise kids...I just hope the older these kids get, to udjust well behaved, not to internalized this problem inshallah..
Re: In the mind of today's somali children in west..
If the dad is a better parent then they should let him raise them. Walahi women that put partying and aroos before the interest of their own kids should be prosecuted and sent to jail for neglect.
They should ask the girls which parents they want to live with and decide from there! Kids are the one that get affect with all this bad parenting situation!

Re: In the mind of today's somali children in west..
It's not her fault, she lives in a place where the system favors dames over dudes and she has every right to assume that she could get away with everything, but good for that Farah, he beat her in her own game.
And the reason they always get away with everything is, the Farahs who fathered their children are indifferent to their children's welfare and if they are kicked to the curb, all you hear is, "Damn that women, she kicked me out" never have I heard a Farah mentioning his children, or even missing them, he even laments about paying child support which Allah (swt) commanded them to pay.
