Qaldaan?
Why the hell r northerners called qaldaan? Is it because of the dialect we speak? Funny, cause we speak the purest and legible somali of all. Everything Below Las Anod speak gibberish, so I dont think you southerners acn call anyone Qaldaan.

Re: Qaldaan?
I think because when the northerners went to the south, the southerners didnt understand their dialect and thus called them qaldan.

It is an appropriate name:
and the real reason was:
SOMALILAND & DJIBOUTI are the only muslim somalis that diss allah and his prophet when they trying to insult a follow somali.
The more you insult allah, the more people listen to your argument

waxan maqley inay dadka qarkod ee northka wagi hore, dinta iyo nebica (saw)ceyn jreen...
Re: Qaldaan?
It is more than that. It is the way they talk (wicked accent), the way they walk (qaldaan walk), and the way they behave (eg. war dee i noo diib, known as Forced shaxaad). It is culture.
When they came Muqdisho with its people who had thousands of years of civilization, these people's behavior were seen as wrong, and annoying.
That's why I am a proponent of Somali separation. This people should stay where they are, and we are better off without them.

maxaa isu keenay nin diin caayay iyo lahjad iyo waxaas.
Walaweyntu iyo reer Waqooyigu isku dhaqan mahaa, Walaweyn waa Bantu dhaqan ahaan, ciyaarahoodu waa Niiko, murti ma laha , waa dabo rux , dhaqan Islaam na ma aha dhaqan Gaalana xataa ma aha, Dabaaweyn waxa ruxa Baantuga , sida zuuluuga iyo Kukuuyada iyo waxaas.
They have a point their, we were mistaken these Baantus were somalis , and at last 30 some years later we realized we have nothing with a man who plays Niiko with his own sister shaking his tail too stating " ii sii abbayo ii sii i sii".
The Walaweyn even in custom are more Baantu, they wear "guntiimo" a loose peiece of second hand Indian dress wrapped around their saggy fats, where as most reer Waqooyi women tradionaly wore the old Phoranic drees the "Garays".
