somali bridal wear

HELP! PEOPLE! a fren of mine is getting married soon ....

SO does any1 knw where to get REALLY REALLY REALLY nice dirics for a bride ( shes already gotta dress) ... she cant be asked to go dubai n them places to look for one. so any ideas? and dont say shepards bush! theydont have dirics that are like in ur face sort of thing.!
something preferbly with gold silk sort of thing!

ideas would be nice!

in paris, they do nice diraacs, pure silk , pretty good designs, seriously n its two hours away on da train, dats da closest things i know wiv good quality diraacs.

yeh thats what my cousin said.. we where actually contemplating on the thought of going there sometime soon, yeh soundslike a good idea its somali owned shops soomaha?. do these kind of places have websites too look at the designs?

sis i live in east london and the only places that somalis have shops is in mile end road n thats full of maqaxiis! harsleden yeh? might check it out inshallah!

No, the stores are owned by Arab-Jews. There are about 4-5 of them on the same street in the 18th arrondissement ( district) of Paris. If you're looking for material, that's the place to go, but you'll need the addresses first (unless you want to get lost). Good luck.

Yes, Arab-Jews, but these Jews in particular are from the Maghrib ( North Africa). What's so shocking? There are Arab-Christians as well.

no no not at all im not shocked about the existence of arab-jews and arab christians infact i have a lot of arab companions from uni which some are arab christians ( mainly from armenian heritage). but the way i adressed my comment was because ur comment sounded like sarcasim when lady-q asked the question if these diric, material shops where owned by somalis and ur comment sounded kind sarcastic ''No, the stores are owned by Arab-Jews''. but my bad i took it the wrong way. hmmm its funny my aunt was actually looking to do the same she was hunting down information on where exactly where to go exactly for diric material and someody told her to go baaris. sounds intresting.
