loool...
The 1st pic reminded me of Nas when in his song he said the French shot off the nose of the Pharoah so they wouldn't see he's black or something.

GB, I was trying to remember the lyrics.
I sent the link to a couple of my Afrocentric black friends, I know they'll get a great kick out of it.
Hiya Screw.

These people were the FIRCOON who were cursed by Allah (swt) for their treat of Nabi Musa and his qowm. Bilaa maskax baa tihiin, who said you have to have pride in a mujrim because you share the same amount of MELANIN???
Re: Black Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt
Voltage,
Point taken....I personally don't look at it like that b/c then you're always projecting an inferiority complex like: "Look! us blacks WERE something before!"
Islam teaches that man is equal & nothing can instill an inferiority complex on Muslims when we learn wisdom itself from the Quran.

Fircoon is a title of the office of kingship not a name. There were some good pharaohs as they were bad ones!

Re: Black Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt
PragmaticGal,
For your Afrocentric friends. Here's what the British said about Somalia + Islam:
"A Somali always felt himself to be twice as good as any white man, or any other kind of man at all, and still does, even when he is wrong. Islam does wonders for the self respect of non-white people and Christianity is right to worry about the spread of Islam in Africa, and must honestly face the question of why it has happened - "
...that is what Islam does for people. It makes them proud. Too many of these Afro-centrists are wielding large inferiority complexes and are just masking it in black pride.

Navy,
I think it was sometime in the 80s, the Great Sphynxx was suffering from years of erosion and exposure to the elements and finally a huge piece broke off; the whole country went in to mourning and a special team of archeologists had to restore him back together.
