Racial Election?

Barack Obama does not want to see this turn into a campaign based on racial support. The White population is significantly larger than the Black population in the United States (Blacks make up only 14.6% of the entire U.S population). Even if the white population votes were split between Hillary Clinton and John Edwards, Barack Obama would still have no chance so I doubt the 80% support from Black Americans that Obama enjoyed in South Carolina will sit well with White America.
