w/salam......actully women are allowed to leave their house..if they wanna work its up to to them. The husband may feel he would like to be the one to provide 4 the wife and thats kool, but not allowing them to leave the house at all is a bit dumb.

let's be realistic horta... i'd like to see women actually take up this offer..and i mean to its fullest. come on...what man can handle that bal ha la'iswaydiiyee. if she never leaves the house, not even to throw out the trash..and have him take the kids to school, go grocery shopping, go to work and every other errands that can come to mind.. can he handle it? walahi, i'd love to be put under such mandate...wallee in uu qafiifi lahaa baan shaki ku jidhin.. if he ever told me to do this, coz i will take up on his offer to the last letter. LOL.

gedo,
so u do agree on the utter absurdness with the "never leave the house" notion eh? i mean i am not exactly knocking it for those with the means to achieve it..employ where applicable per se.. laakin' it cannot be universally applied and i think anything short of the blanket application for all has less to do with the teachings of our prophet and more with cultural dictations. agree?
