OMG! Dr. Hesham Hussien Died!!

Dr. Hesham Hussien was imam at Minneapolis Mosque, I met him personally many times, he even visited us in college and lecture us, and he use to talk about MN Somalis alot. He died in Saudi Arabia where he was visiting.

Allah have mercy on him. I met him several times in Minneapolis where he gave khutba. Wallahi I was surprised when I heard he died. Subhanallah. At least he died in the land of Tawheed, Saudi Arabia.

I heard that he want to the Hajj this year and come back, then he took all his family and bought a house at Mecca, then while driving between Jeddah and Mecca -he had an accident, he was prayed at grand mosque and buried in Mecca, good for him, RIP!

I don't wanna mention this, but there was a little incident that happen one friday at Umatul Maxamed Mosque between him and Sheikh ahmed Tajir, the Somali sheikh, and they misunderstood each other, he wanted to the lecture in English because they were some Americans or Ajnabis, and Tajir wanted to do it in Somalia because majority ppl were Somalis, and some Somalis tell him to leave the mosque because its Somali mosque. But since he worked for CAIR, the Somali sheikh left the mosque -but he tried to reconcile with that sheikh and even ask him to come back. that was just a minor incident, compared to what he did for the Muslim community in Minnesota.
