The 3.0 Formula for Somali Government
The original thread was mistakenly moved to the clan section, so I will start it up here. A lot of people acknowledged this clan formula as fair for all groups.
The 3.0 Formula:
Somali politics is clan politics and as such we cannot create consensus and government without representing all clans. The current 4.5 formula that is used by the TFG is adequate, but it also alienates minority groups in somalia.
Another problem with the 4.5 system is there are are too many divisions, instead of having 4.5, it should be reduced to 3 main tribes that way greater cohesion and unity is fostered as seemingly distant clans are united under the same branch.
The 3.0 system would consist of Darood, Irir, and BeeroJecel. As with the current TFG, the president, prime minister, speaker of the house will each be from a different major tribe. The ministers also divided equally among the Major tribes.
Darood sub clans: Cumar maxamoud, Cisman maxamoud, Cisse maxamoud, Reer Bicidyahan, Dhulbahante, Warsengeli, Leelkase, Owrtable etc.
Irir sub clans: Samaroon, Isaaq, Biimaal, Abgaal, HG etc
BeeroJecel sub clans: D&M, Jareerweyn, Marehan, Ogadeen, Reer xamar etc
Adovcator rightfully complained that the name 'other' is not appropriate, therefore the third major tribe's name was changed accordingly. My suggestion is since most of these groups(OG, MR, D&M, Jareerweyne) are rural farmers and agriculturists blessed with fertile land. The name 'BeeroJecel" seems appropriate.
Therefore the groups would be Irir, Darood, BeeroJecel. And Within those groups, for each sub group representation is divided between them equally. Rotation of presidents, prime ministers, speaker of the house every 5 years.
With the above sub clans, new alliances will be formed and as progress is made clan politics will be substituted with party politics as tribes form alliances based on regional interests.
Discuss.

Re: The 3.0 Formula for Somali Government
''Irrir'' is bigger than Darood. You cannot lump them into one group.
Re: The 3.0 Formula for Somali Government
Population wise Irir may be slightly bigger but not if we go buy land. The point is not to count every single group but to unite people under regional and common interests
Darood=1/3, Irir=1/3, BeeroJeceyl=1/3 overall in Somaliweyne in terms of land.

Re: The 3.0 Formula for Somali Government
somalia iyo somaliland maxaa isku keenay.
if they want to build government why dont they start with their back yard first then worry about somaliland? obviously they aint interested in building a governement but rather waist time and get rich in the process with ampty promeses and the usual rhetoric.
Iriir iyo wax aan loo jeedin iska dhaafo wax samaysta marka dadka somaliland idinko dad ah ula kaalaya.

King of awdal
The late prime minister Cigal(AUN) and most Isaaqs up until 1991 had no problem with the usage of Irir. I didn't not make it up, it's in the history books sxb.
The more we tighten up clan groups, the faster we can foster unity. 3 Major tribes each with many minor tribes is better than the current trend of every group working for their own interests and not looking for common interests.
Imagine how powerful Irir will be under this system.

Sxb, the same game of propaganda might fool some people but please don't try that here. As much as 'somaliland' may try'n and fool the rest of the world with their dressing up of clan politics, most people see right through the charade.
Somali politics is clan politics from ras kambooni to berebera, tell me about the last somaliland elections. Did haber jeclo vote kulmiye? HW udub, HY ucid? Now, are you gonna tell me that each of those 'parties' are not run by the clans who predominately voted for them?
I do believe northwest somali's are unto something that will over time change clan politics into party politics even if it's just for show. And in away, the 3.0 formula will move us into that direction, but it will be a gradual process. Once people's dependence on clan is replaced by dependence on region and common interest, clan becomes useless.

I dont advocate for "beerojacel" or what ever it means..............I advocate for beesha sade to seek complete separation from majeerteen since we are lump together under Jaberti eventhough we are blue and red.
either that or you guys join the beerojileec group.

Re: The 3.0 Formula for Somali Government
The clans should be divided as such:
Human: Harti, Awrtable, Lelkase ( + other Puntlanders)
Savages: Everyone else
