How do you handel confilcts at work?

What would you do if everybody was picking on someone and you know that person is nice..would you defend her even though she is not ur friend but you just feel sorry for her...or you just would mind ur own busin????

umm honestly i don't talk to my co-workers. ignorin them is like the best option for me. ur not there to make friends ur there to get ur hours N get paid. besides they will respect u if u keep ur own distance N do not interfere. they won't mess with u either.

let her fight her own battle. u can't trust any1 these dayz!!

Sure, I would stand up for her..I can't ignore it wallaahay...I hate people who pick on other people...I always did that even at school...Never pleased someone at the expense of another person...

But my workplace is the best...no problem between the co-workers..

I am gonna kick some arse at my work soon. I have this mathafakken caddaan kid who is trying to undermine all my achievements. Part of his job responsibilities were transfered to me and he wasn't happy about it, now he is trying to make me look bad by fabricating stories or disentangling problems I solved.

About standing up for someone getting bullied, I am actually doing that now for a Tutsi girl who is a new hire, but some of the cadaan women are trying to bring down, just because she has higher degree than them and will soon oversee them.

I agree with you...when you do that you gain respect...as long you keep ur mouth shut and dont talk shit about anybody...no one will mess with you.

Helwaa, You should always smile, greet and be kind to people, no-matter what they are. If you and a certain individual are at odds, then keep away but be civil. Remember, a muslim/muslimmah is an embassador of his/her religion.

i know what u mean sis lakiin i would rather b bored then have problems at work N never want to go back. if i get bored i text. it also depends on what type of job u have. i used to work at a 24hr pharmacy N boy was it hectic N if u were a friendly person every1 would b tellin u to do something. but if u kept ur distance and didn't say shitt no1 said anything to u that way every1 does their job. the more friendly u r the more work they give u N that ain't goin down!! honestly this 1 supervisor i have alwayz sayz hi to me N wants to engage in conversation lakiin walahay i do not respond to her. i ignore her like theres no tomorrow. i guess u just gotta do what u gotta do!!

ur right on defendin urself sis lakiin u don't want to esclate conflict on urself N the other gurl, but talk to her N advice her on how to better handle situations!!

I don't really have any problems with my co-workers, we work in smaller teams all though we're all part of R&D. Some deal with formulations (me) and others with devices and stuff. I try not to gossip too much and as you said Helwaa that is the key. You don't want your collegues to think less of you or to think that you're not professional.

As for the bullying, haven't really encountered it here, most people are older than me so they really don't bully people. If i ever saw anyone getting bullied, I would definitely stand up for them. What goes around comes around right?

you're not the frikkin' UN..don't get involved in office catfights..unless of course its directed at you. you're there to do your own thang..don't pay attention to co-workers beefs..let em' go at it themselves. but if you still feel like being a mother theresa...then for God sakes do it in the presence of the boss..to maximize capital out of their pitty misery and get a raise out of it for being the good office mediator and the leverage of healthy workplace productivity.

i agree with suga 100% i dont trust the mother fckers that i work even the once that act like my best friends i am an actor when iam around them make them hear what they want hear ,something like
