An Interview with Sool Governor, Mudane Sandulle
An Interview with Sool Governor, Mudane Sandulle
The following are excerpts from an interview with the Governor of Sool Region, Mudane Mohammed Ali "Sandulle"
Qarannews:- Governor, please give some background on the current situation in your region and any improvement since Somaliland re-asserted authority in Las Anod?
Governor: The day we arrived back in Las Anod and today is night and day. There is peace and security in Las Anod today. The residents of the town are fully involved in the management of the town, they are doing business, they are involved in the improvement of the environment, they are totally involved back in the daily life of their town and region.
Qarannews:-Governor, what was behind the reason for your recent participation in the Somaliland Defence Forces operation at Gambadhe?
Governor: - You are right, it was a military operation, but it is the responsibility of all Somalilanders to protect and serve their country. The people of Gambadhe welcome us with open arms. Later on in the evening, I heard that some members of the Puntland administration claimed to have visited Gambadhe, but in reality they went to the outskirts of Garowe, took some pictures of themselves then went back to the centre of Garowe, to claim that they had visited Gambadhe. It is comical. The Somaliland forces are east, west, north and south of Las Anod, I don't foresee the return of the Puntland militia to Las Anod.
Qarannews:- Governor, there is speculation that President Rayale will visit Sool, including Las Anod, in the near future, do you have any more information on this proposed visit?
Governor: -Yes, Insha Allah, it is expected that President Rayale will visit Sool region, including Las Anod in the near future, perhaps after his visit to the Gulf countries.
Qarannews: Governor, since Somaliland re-asserted its authority in Las Anod, there have been substantial developments in the city and the surrounding area, can you give some specific details?
Governor: - Previously, the situation in the area had been one of conflict and strive, people were living under the duress of the Puntland militia, but under my current administration there has been a marked improvement in the distribution of food, water, the roads are open to commerce, so goods are getting to the areas of most need. As you known there is a nationwide programme to raise funds for the region, under the leadership of Vice-President Ahmed Yusuf's committee progress is being made.
Qarannews:- Governor, as you stated in the recent ceremony for SUNGO, and as reported by the local press, there has been speculation of a rift between yourself and Mudane Xaabsade, can you comment on this?
Governor: - Have already stated that there is the need for responsible journalism, and I hope that some of press exercise some responsibility. In the case of these articles about the perceived rift between myself and Mudane Xaabsade have no base whatsoever. Mudane Xaabsade is my elder, and we are working together to improve the lives of the people of Sool and Somaliland in general.

MjPride you should make this guy president of puntland.....
I dont think the other hartis will fall for empty promises again, this time even the promise of the presidency of puntland wont bring them back...Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.Plus i think there has been to much bloodshed for even the majerteens in puntland to trust any outsiders with the presidency and after the Walrus no chance, they'll be riots in majerteeniya.
BABYGIRL123 According to this dhulbahnte guy thinks are improving in LasAnood, should you not be happy about that. And why are you so against unity with somaliland because as you well know hartinimo is a tool used by some to further their goals,in the process waekning yours.

If I as a Mudulood was made the PM or President, I will get the unfettered support of most Hawiye, Digil iyo Mirifle, Dir, Darood and minorities. For I have a history of not hording all the power and perks that come with high offices. Lakiin, you MJs would get whose support? Ogaden hate you so much that they're rooting for your arch nemesis, HG. Mareexaan have made pact with their walaalaha Ceyr from Galguduud and now the rest of the Hartis are leaving you by the droves. Why do you think that is?
Sxb, like it or lump it, your clan is seen as greedy and selfish. I suggest for your own sake to start dispelling this perception.

Nonagst,
Few disgruntled clans wont' change Majeerteen policy, which has been monopolizing the smaller clans and keeping the big clans at bay. We are large enough to stand on our feet without really needing help. If you check out our political leaders, you will see we have relations with the UN, African Union and the United States. There are a lot of MJs that are working hard to get the Outside help that we need to consolidate our power. HG, once our strongest enemy is now dead and The reason why Somaland aint' going nowhere with their recognition campaign is partially due to our relations with the International Community(We always hold demonstrations whenever there is Somaliland rally or start a fight in some other times)
In a Nutshell, Who needs Somali clans when you have the International Support

I dont believe in somaliland independence but i can respect and be greatful that my tribe is involved in this relativ;ey peaceful nation building even if i dont agree with the destination. You would be better of under somaliland admin, and would be treated more equaly and have the same rights as anybody in somaliland. The Isaaq in generally are people you have more in common with then anybody else and it would be easy for you to work with them.Dhulbahnte should start looking out for their own interest if las anood is better of under SL then support SL if Las anood is better under PL then you should support PL.But if las anood is not better of under PL and you know this but you are only anti-somaliland because of hartinimo, then like the ogadeen you will learn the hard way to look out for your own interest.
Look at the OG they are fighting with hawyie against other jarbartis because of self preservation.

Babygirl, dont hide behind that "GREATER SOMALIA" bullshidh, we both know your antagonism towards S/L is purely qabiil related. You dont want Isaaq to have any success or at least any independence from Daaroocula Hegemony. The reason Somalia is in a mess is because Daaroocula want total power, and Hutus will rather see their own country burn and embarrassed than be ruled by you. Plain and simple, if you support "Somaliweyn" then you'd support S/L because we can make "Somaliweyn" happen. It just hate and more Hate that has destroyed our country and neither you or Hawiye are prepared to give up and call it a day. I am an Isaaq and I have no Hate towards Daarood or Hawiye, but I do feel sorry for you.

Maakhir is not a clan fiefdom, clan fiefdoms only exist in the South and Waaqoyiland. Maakhir is a Northern Enterprise.
