Somalia's ailing President rushed to hospital after being 'happy-slapped' by an Ethiopian General

Somalia's President was rushed to Madina Hospital today, after having been on the receiving end of a slap, officials say. A source close to the President has told us, on the basis of anonymity, that the interim President suffered a broken nose and cheek bone as a result of the slap.

Dr.Abukar, President Abdullahi Yusuf's personal physician, has told us that the President has suffered psychological damage as a result of the slap. He has spent the night under observation at Madina's Psychiatric division and is expected to be released into his wife's custody tomorrow.

In related news, former Prime Minister Geedi was summoned to Addis Ababa earlier this week. Reports reaching us from our Ethiopian desk indicate that the former Prime Minister will replace Abdullahi Yusuf as the head of the country.

He tried to slit his hand after having a mental breakdown. A slap like that can do so much damage to a man's self-esteem! This is just sad.
