Who do we blame for our misery?
This thread was inspired by Kramer's statement of "Somalia being all you can eat". It may sound hilarious if it wasn't where you call home or have feelings detached from it, but alas, I can not say that.
So, who do we blame for our shortcomings?
Do we blame the current Tigre puppets who sold their dignity, soul, country and honor for measly countable coins?
Do we blame those who kept the country hostage for 17 years and failed to form anything that resembles a functioning government, couldn't agree to disagree and resorted to the worst cannibalism in man history?
Or, should we blame the bystanders who did nothing to salvage what was left of the once beautiful country, folded their arms and started pointing fingers without some tangible attempt of reclaim?
But what is even worse is, where are we heading? With this generation (cyber) being the ones expected to wield and redirect the country to a meaningful course and save what is left..................

Re: Who do we blame for our misery?
lool! sxb that is true "Somalia is all you can eat" for everybody nowadays!
Its to blame the Phoraoh wannabees! you know who I'm talking about (Abdullahi Yusuf, Mohamed Dheere, Abdi Qeybdiid, Bare Hiraale) -they think they own Somalia and want to do whatever they want, keeping ppl hostage for 20yrs.
Also, good ppl aren't doing anything! evil destroys the world when a few good men do nothing! that was the case for a while until the ICU get together and said lets clean this mess up, and what you know the "Phoroahs" new that they will loose slaving the Somalis and their little clans so they asked their big satan for help (America and little satan Ethiopia) and now the few good men are wiped off the earth!

Re: Who do we blame for our misery?
Its about time to stop the blame game and start doing something..each and every one of us.
No messiah or mahdi is coming from the sky to rescue somalia..somalis need to change their attitude..
I bet even if Allah sent a mahdi to save maalis..they would ask for his qabil b4 they give him any chance..

The Somali People.
The worst thing is most Somalis whether they maybe the ones who support the current gov't or the ones who are bystanders feel as though doing something to bring about change in Somalia is the impossible. They feel hopeless therefore, they support the TFG,although its an entity that consist of the very same individuals who were holding the country hostage. They fear individual ideology and accountability b/c god forbid you dont want to be the black sheep inthe bunch(clan wise). Lastly, majority of Somalis lack imaan and are greedy folks thus they hold on to grudges and has difficulty forgiving one another.

I agree with AW. Everything that has happened follows logically from the Kacaanka and the choice of Somaliweyn over nationbuilding.
