"Bakara market has been looted by Abdullahi Yusuf's clan from Puntland. There is no commerce. There is no business," he said. "The largest market in Somalia is closed. Now, food is sold in back alleys and inflation is over 300 percent. I would not be surprised if you see a human catastrophe in Mogadishu within the next two weeks if things continue like this."

According to Mogadishu resident Mahmud Hassan and several other reliable VOA sources in Mogadishu, punishing the soldiers would require the cooperation of President Yusuf. Hassan and the others say it was soldiers from the president's Darod clan who looted and destroyed the market, leaving hundreds of thousands of people in the city with no source of income and no place to buy basic goods.

Somalia's interim Prime Minister Nur Adde Hassan Hussein surprised many Somalis on Monday by publicly admitting that government troops took part in the wholesale looting of Bakara market in recent days.

The prime minister apologized for the soldiers' misconduct and promised that they would be punished

This is what the majiraans call revenge? I was driven out of Xamar just like them, but I'll take revenge like a real man with my own soldiers not rob poor masaakins food under the protection of a focken Tigray.

Then look at a Dameer like Nuur Cadde admitting to it and saying he couldn't stop it. Walee Abgal are the most retarded clan in Somalia being lackeys to majiraan jaajuses. Xoolodaan xagay nugu yimaadeen, lool..

Sxb, stop taking cheap shots at people like Nur cadde. The guy had no role in bringing the Ethiopians into Somalia, and is doing all he can under the conditions that he has been placed in. Death is still a death no matter how it is done, and to believe that to be killed by a fellow Somali is better then being killed by an Ethiopian is beyond reason. Frankly speaking, Mohamed Dhere and Ghedi don't represent Abgaal or Mudulood, nor does Abdi-qaybdeed or hussain Aideed or Gacmodhere represent HG. Whether we like it or not, the TFG is an entity that has members of every clan including yours. If the TFG is wrong, then fingers should be pointed at the individuals and not their clans. It is not for you to determine whether Abgaal is a retarded clan or not. We know our interests and we don't need you tell us what to do. Thanks but no Thanks

Twisted,

Apologize for the shot at abgal, but honestly speaking You do realize that one of the pillars and face of the whole fiasco in Xamar is Abgal right? You often take credit and pride in talking about the tremendous influence Your clan yields in Xamar, so if We're to take that at face value then We would say that the stuff that is going on there is going on with their leave and support. Yes without a doubt the TFG has plenty of members from my clan ofcourse, however I can say the acts that are being perpetuated in Xamar are not being perpetuated by every wazir in the TFG but from people who hail from two clans: Abgal, MJ. I say shortsighted goals for long term repercussions.

mogadishu is not brink of starvation. waxaas waa been. dekadii waa furan tahay.airaboorkii waa furan yahay. every day xamar dekadiisa waxaa ku xirta 5 markab sida raashin iyo qalab kala gedisan.

suuqa bakaarahana waxa laga bililiqeeystay xitaa ma dhama 00.5% alaabtii taaley bakaare.

waxaad fiirsataan universal tv ganacsiga suuqa bakaaraha 99% normal ayuu u socdaa.

Murax,

Your argument is very naive in all honesty. It is no secret that it is Sacad militias that are causing the havoc in HG sections of Xamara as no Abgaal solider is stationed there. I refuse to buy this unfounded and naive assumption that Abgaal has a huge role in the crisis in Xamar. Almost all the Abgaal, I know are against the TFG, and majority are very ambiguous about the whole TFG thing like me. In my view, the only clan that is against the Ethiopian occupation is Ceyr and I respect them. The rest are against the TFg purely for clan reasons much like the supporters of the TFG do so purely out of clan loyalties. In my mind, no sane and decent person will commit 100% to either camp as both are driven by sinister clan agenda.

ps

The above argument is frank and I think any decent person will understand where I am coming from.
