Post by DisplacedDiraac »

The best way to increase our knowledge in our deen is reading Islamic books.

My book cupboard is packed with Islamic books, But for those that can't afford to purchase or have a hard time choosing which Islamic book to buy, than this is the perfect website for you.

There's also a great section for the sisters.

Enjoy.

But the internet isn't always reliable *might not always have access to it, might go down etc*. And unlike books you can't take it with you where ever you go 247.

They may be expensive but where is that money going? You'll see it in Jannah.. InshaAllah! Knowledge is something precious in islam and everything towards it is not taken lightly by Allah swt.

We have so much knowledge available to us today it is rediculous any excuse we give, What did we do with out Knowledge?? Are you prepared for this question? Knowledge is surrounding us and its our key to Jannah InshaAllah. Many scholars may Allah reward them have complied the hard works of years.. Have summarised, made it easier for us to read, in many languages and writing styles.. subhanallah the books you see today are nothing compared to the hardcore ones from the past. And even in the past, how hard do you think they had to work inorder to get knowlegde? people would travell the world to seek knowledge, to be in the company of people who have knowledge because Books, CDS, TV, Videos were not so easily accessable ...... we are so fortunate walahi. Look at the Tafsir's, the Whole Explaination of the Quran on 1 CD now??? MashaAllah. Few years ago this was in chapters and chapters. But now you can get it on one CD ..technology is moving on, we need to take advantage of it.

I also adivce people to go to as many talks, conferences, circles, meetings, gatherings there are and theres no excuses that they may be expensive because theres always free ones particularly in the mosques.. :D !!
SubhanAllah the angels surround the places where Allah is mentioned and remembered, so increase your time spent there.. you'll be in the company of the Angels! InshaAllah.

Assalamu Aleykum, i think a very good book is "the etiquttes of the student of knowledge" by shiekh al-alaamah Bakr abu zayd (rahimahuallah).

If i read this book early on in my life, i would have saved a lot of time.

like Abdullah ibn mubarak said "I spent thirty years learning manners, and twenty years learning knowledge"..

so the quicker we learn this principle the better.
