13 year old girl molests small child

MONCTON, N.B. -- Of all the sex offenders Judge Michael McKee has dealt with during his years on the bench, the 13-year-old girl in his courtroom yesterday truly didn't fit the stereotype.

The girl, who can't be identified, was in court for sexual offences committed against a three-year-old girl she was babysitting.

The Moncton, N.B., girl had earlier pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation and inviting a person under the age of 14 to touch her sexually.

McKee sentenced her to 18 months' probation with orders to report to her probation officer and attend a sexual health clinic for counselling and treatment.

Court heard there was nothing out of the ordinary about the girl. Besides missing too much school, she had no behavioural issues and didn't get into trouble.

The incident took place last October when the girl was babysitting a neighbour's daughter and had her touch her sexually on two separate occasions. At no time did she sexually touch the young girl.
