loool, is that all...............I thought u had a case problem, advo was ready to solve some complicated functionz.

Ok; Macro is basically serious of commands that can be run when ever u need to perform a task, for example u can create a macro to print a work sheet, insert set of dates and values, or import data/text file and store it in excel, macros perform taks quickler with accuracy then a person can ever. so when a macro is created u cann be assured that no mistakes will ever occure from performing the same task over and over again.

hope that helped a lil bit. :?

LooL Advo

Not everyone is an IT person you know

So do you need the data before setting macros or do you just set it up anyway depending on what you want done.

Plus with tasks what exactly does it do? I pressume it is better to it use with large data to avoid erros is that right? and can you give me an example

You help is highly appreciated Dr Advo

Yes Macro is like the last step, U need to have data first and once u convert it, basically that's it; it's secured and cannot be edited unless u have skills in advance settings; and yes u might aswell use large datas; saves u time and headache, the whole reason why macros are used is to simplify tasks so u dont need to repeat same action over and over again; for example if u were running a store and costumer asked u to perform the following tasks on excel: printing invoice worksheet (which includes input area, transfer area for paper files) , each print out needing a header and footer. In addition, data from the invoice worksheet needing to be transfered to the tickitdata work sheet. Then U would need to use macros to reduce the possibility of errors being introduced during the repetitive process!

LOOOOOOOL

I know what you are saying. So then do you need your date on a spreadsheet or Database? And what is the VB editor used for.

Damn if only I paid more attetion in my VB class   Things that you hate most and avoid at all costs are the ones that turn in your life when you dont need the stress. I am like not this again

Sorry Advo but it makes more sense when someone like you explains it rather than reading up ( which i end up with a headache  ) Women huh?
