Somali Gang Violence in London $ the breakdown of families

Post by Wareer »

I am really shocked by the lost boys special program.

If parents can't restrain their boys' ganghood , why can't they deport back to Somalia for Cultural reawakening and discipline and keeping them safe.

"It is feeling of shame how our social fabric was breaking down"

As Omar said and was struck by this reality that Khat is the source of this ongoing violence and degeneration within the Somali communities in London. Parents frittering away their time and money with Khat and not spending time with their kids/teens who need all the intellectual, cultural and religious and educational guidance for them to survive and wean themselves off this embedded gang violence.

You see the British police or City council would never add or set aside extra sterlin to the Police budget to help fight this crime. It carries concomittant risk and responsibility to crack down these boys on the street, so they let us assume the role and patrol the streets as the Somali elders have done to at least stem the tide of this gang violence.

Somali communities in England are facing a real and serious problem.
