ok i have this crazy co-werker he is real believer of nation of islam. he believes the only that black can move forward was segregation . his story made me realize that is what we as somalians may need , imagine every qabiil its will have his own state that they rule and run
then we will have one centralized city just like United Arab Emaratis.
what do you guys think about that idea?? Please dont change this into qabiil bashin
thanks

But how can u segregate HG's from Abgaals and HG's from Daroods.
All i know is that HG's ain't the ones leaving.
Obviously its a bad idea that would create more conflicts.
Why can't we just live together like we always have done in the past.
All it takes is a good smart leader that knows how to handle the somalis, one that knows when to be hard and when to be soft, just like the Ajuuran kings that used to handle the somalis in the past.

We can attain a level of democracy in a divided federal state, since it's obvious that our country can't filter tribal identities from the national politics. Therefore, the clan and sub-clan system of Somalia can present a political structure 4 the country.
To actually respond 2 each groups demand, a distinct national identity should be formed through consolidation of federal status 2 enjoy a degree of stability. It can be met by functioning local institutions all over Somalia's dissimilar regions. Nevertheless, the members of the local institutions will be part of a Supreme Council (the policy-making body in the country).......

I agree. There needs to be a United States of Somalia where each region can be a state that governs itself and then there is a central government that holds them all together. Eventually, qabil can be weeded out but at first we need clan politics.

A system of federalism based on the boundaries being made now is the best.
But you have to wonder, for example, the USA had different states early on with the Articles of Confederation. The states acted as independent entities, there was no nation, states would even do their own foreign trade, have their own currencies and militias.. we see some of that in Somalia right now.
Not until the constitution did some of that taper off, with some power being given to the national government. It will take years and years for Somalis to develop a national mindset, to think big, instead of small on their clannish fiefdoms.

I really think the best model for all the Somali territories is a customized version of the EU.We should have a parliament that addresses the common problem. Each state should have its own president and we should have a common currency, common security agreement that says an attack on one state is an attack on all, we should abolish any strong central government. There should also be free borders and common market.

Somalia has already been heading for this for awhile. If Puntland would declare independence then it would really set the wheels in motion. Out of the 18 regions in Somalia this is how it goes
Toghdeer
Awdal
Cayn
Sanaag
Sool
Bari
Nugaal
Mudug
Gedo
Jubbada Dhexe
Jubbada Hoose
Galgudud never was and never will be ruled by any Government.
All these regions either ARE or are heading towards autonomous Government models. Thats 12 out of 18 regions. So whats left? This may be the best way.
