it was on restaurant makeover last night....place got a facelift and looks good.

reer Toronto..who's been at that spot lately? last time i was there, it looked like a fast food joint, but they make it look good now...i will go check it soon... which reminds..suuqa ceelgaab is next door to it, gotta get some duruuc as well while i'm there

I've been there several times since the makeover (It's been months).....


They use good plates the place is cleaner, service has improved, it's almost like a gaal restaurant (in quality)....

war i haven't been in that part of Toronto for a while now, i didn't know about all these changes walahi..what other restaurant got a makeover i wonder. how about xamdi? i used to go to the downtown one few years back.

anyways, good stuff dee. i'm glad to see somali businesses in T.dot progressing...movin' on up like george and wizee.

I been to Xamar weyne and they have added a lot of new dishes to their menu..

Xamdi hasnt changed that much, moved some tables around, same food.. Money wise though Xamdi is one of the most successful somali restaurants in North America.. They got two Xamdis in Toronto, one in edmonton and couple more in the US..

I remember they used to have good food When I lived in Toronto esp. the ma3ma3an..and the girls would fill the place esp. after the games during the summer.

I still go there whenever I visit Toronto

I actually caught the end of this episode last night. Why was K'naan there? Was the chef Ethiopian? He looked like it.

Unfortunately, there aren't any Somali restaurants in the East end. They're all downtown or Etibocoke.
