whats the difference between choosing to lock a thread and deleting it? i'd appreciate clarification mods

Perhaps because some threads violate the rules and regulations of Somalinet be it intentionally or unintentionally?

However, this is just a wild guess.

I think they lock up threads that r the usual or just plain dumb n they delete offensive threads that break rules.

pink, if that's the case, that's fukked up cuz mods shouldn't make the decision of what they feel is a "dumb topic"...it's either offensive and it gots to go or it's not offensive and they leave it alone

I think it might depend on the extremity of the thread, some threads might be locked temporarily, which gives moderators enough time to investigate the breaches of the thread & it also serves as a warning to other posters. The useless threads that can't be salvaged- usually those that contain vulgar & foul language, and those threads which serve no purpose probably get deleted. This is all just pure speculation, only a moderator could give you the precise reasons for those actions.

There r dumb threads out there n some of the same threads n they need 2 be deleted!!

Mods, delete those advertisin threads!!
