Ethiopian rebel leaders arrested

Addis Ababa - Ethiopia's Ogaden rebels on Thursday condemned the arrest of two of their top leaders by the authorities of Somalia's northern breakaway Puntland region.

The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) - a Somali-ethnic movement which has battled Addis Ababa for two decades - said its leaders were arrested on Tuesday.

"The two ONLF political prisoners were removed by force from their hotel in Garowe in central Somalia by security forces of the Puntland administration," the rebel movement said in a statement.

The rebel group said the two ONLF leaders were then driven in the personal vehicle of Puntland's finance minister back to the Ogaden border and handed over to Ethiopian security.
The Ethiopian government in 2007 launched a massive military crackdown targeting the ONLF in its oil-rich southern strongholds. - Sapa-AFP

let us help our officials to hand over more of the ONLF terrorists back to ethopia and end our misery. the only way Somalia will find peace is if ethiopia, puntland and others cooperate in arresting the border crossing rebels.
