Friendship after Break-up ...Possible ???
My best friends gurlfriend and him broke up about 3 months ago. they had to break up due to circumstances beyond their control and I know they still love each other. Instead of kicking each other to the curb, they decided to pursue a relationship directly after the breakup. they would call each other , visit each other regularly, and just support each other where needed. He was thrilled to keep such a wonderful person in his life!
It has become more difficult. Phone calls have become expected, and when they are not delivered, he is devastated. It breaks his heart to not hear from her. When he sees her, he is plagued with a million "What if's..?" Her happiness is still of such an importance to him, and he finds himself going out of his way to perform random acts of kindness to brighten her day, or show her he cares.
My question for the forum members is: Can there be friendship after love? First love specifically.
And if so, should there be a waiting period between the breakup and the friendship?

i think your friend should just walk away. things will only get much more complicated than it already is. fock closure.

I think that is the European version or something. They used to show the following one on MTV a lot back in the day. The US version has some cute chicks in it.

First Love? I still remember my first love, and trust me it's been years! You'll never forget your first love and there will always be feelings there.Hidden_Treasure wrote:My best friends gurlfriend and him broke up about 3 months ago. they had to break up due to circumstances beyond their control and I know they still love each other. For some people friendship actually works, for others it doesn't (specially when it comes to first loves). In this case i don't think it ever will, there are too many emotions involved. It'll end up in misery.

Friendship after break-up -- are you kidding me seriously no such thing is possible.
Hidden pass my message to your male freind tell him to get over her and find someone else.
I would like to know why they broke up in the first place ??? out of their control I am thinking they are from two different tribes, like she is Mj and he is Og. lol Not a great combination in the crisis somalia is in at the moment lol
I believe there is more than one love for us in this world. No such thing as the ONE give it time and I am sure the poor fella will heal.....Caku Love.

It seems your friend and his ex GF didnt mutually broke up , but she broke up with him. Based on your writing above he isnt looking for relationship aftert brake up, but it seem in his mind they are still together. So tell your friend it is over and move on.

Re: Friendship after Break-up ...Possible ???
The answer to the question is NO.
But if the circumstances were beyond their control, was it really a breakup?
