Its a policy created by the Somaliland authorities (some have have ties to the previous Somali gov't before 1991) to make the people latch on to something to unite them. This hate of the "walanweyn" and everything koonfur is a TEMPORARY fix at Somaliland policy. It will disappear when the calls for recognition are not met.
