Old school Somali Vocabulary 101

Post by JaMaaL-23 »

Are there any Somali words whose meaning you are unsure of?

You might have heard it from you Awoowe's "bari ayaa waxaa jiray" tale and have saved yourself from the embaressment of asking.

well here is your chance to ask the Somali Vocabulary expert. one word at a time

we can also discuss the newest Somali words in this thread.

new Somali words I heard are

Buufis
Qarxis
Bac madoow
Daba qoodhi

do you have any newly created Somali words?

I know the first two. I don't know what's implied by black plastic bag. I have no clue about the last one.

madax i sii
waala isku tufay
luuqa aan u galay (priv chat)
