These are from slides from film I sent my parents. I just found them and had them printed, so this is really the first I have seen them. They have been going up so slowly because I have had to scan, etc.

Yes, Isse Westlake, that white dude was me when I had hair. :lol:

My mom was born there in 1960 or '62.

Her dad was stationed there as a policeman throughout the 1960s. You might know him, Grant, he was a high-ranking officer.

I don't know the full story on the girl. She is half Italian and the wife of the older boy in the
picture.

To whom it may concern: Those are photos of the household of the Mayor of Jilib. By comparison, they were quite well off.

Paidmonk,

You can just make out the police station at the far left in the photo of the school. The two round-style huts were police housing during the Italian period but were vacant when that picture was shot.
