He is probably not a muslim, A revert would not do such thing.

I remember a jamaican muslim girl who was 19 she was marrying a Somali guy here in London last year, She refused to have a wedding wit music and when she was getting Cilaan she asked if it haram. The girl was only muslim for a few months b4 she got married. Mashallah
