For long time my biggest question has been why on earth did
the UIC in advice with " defenceminister" Indha Cadde declare war against Ethiopia
when they had merely Somali tiknikos and perhaps a couple of tanks.
Why did they forget this ?
That is seriously a million somali shilling question.



Since 1945 no country has ever won a war without having the upper hand in the air superiority

The military experts people like gurey25 and AbdiWahaab,Dawladsade and Starscream
we all know Somalia ( plus Somaliland and Puntland has no airforce )
and our forces on ground are limited and we cannot meet a Ethiopian army (2008 ) standing with 200 000 soldiers. On the contrary we would meet only the conventional force if we use a special tactics.



We could attack from three flanks with one goal Addis Abeba.
if the rebels in Sudan can do this... I am sure as hell Somaliland forces can easily take out Dire Dawe military base and radar station with the MIGs operated there.



I say if we can reach Addis Abeba and the jubeli presidential palace of Meles Zenawi.
we could make a coup de etat.

WE CANT TAKE ETHIOPIA AS A WHOLE SOMALIS

but we can reach Addis Abeba and make it another Muqdisho

Let us first focus on liberating the South first.

The contribution of Somaliland is to shut down Ethiopian military supplies that come in via Berbera, provide safe passage for weaponry from Eritrea headed to south.


Ethiopia was going to come in one way or another. Xamar was the only place in all of SOmali lands where EThiopia had no influence or control. They had to squash that

in my scenario cutting the Berbera corridor for ethiopians would not be a smart move and create lots of curiosity.
I say we should import side by side with them our needed military equipment for the war in Addis Abeba. Ethiopia is 90 % shitcountry
if we go straight for the hearth we could crush it..

The liberation of South must come from war and chaos in Addis Abeba
The contribution of Somaliland and Puntland would be to hold Berbera and Bosaaso ports open as long as possible when we import armoury from Iran , Pakistan , UAE and other muslim countries.

I bet we would loose Somaliland very quickly and advancing ethiopian troops would reach Garowe and cut of Bosaaso highway and seize the port city.
Our aim should be to take Dire Dawe and reach Addis Abeba with our full force.
No need to defend our vast impossible territory when the american jets would be up no time with the french in assitance of Ethiopia.

So if we make it to Addis then we have a strong bargaining ...

Who will be our International Backers and supporters ?

The Arabs have proven to be inept and useless. We should turn to working with the Iranians, Chinese (for concessions of oil), Indians for Oil and a possible naval base.

we would not get help from China and Russia and the Islamic World untill we have proven on the battlefield

Then we should pursue all the armed Opposition Groups in Ethiopia. The South should host the Oromo Liberation Front, Ogaden Liberation, the Gambella rebels, while the North hosts the Afar Liberation group, the Tigrey rebels.

A separate force should be created to destroy Ethiopian stooges who will work to undermine us.

Back in the 1970s, the support of the Rebels was very effective.

Second depending on the situation and World Powers.
We would either stay in Addis and create a new government with the rebels or continue the warfare. Eitherway Somalis are here to stay for good.

You plan sounds great once SOmalia is liberated from the Ethiopian Scum. Training squads of EThiopian Commandos and funding them is the way to go.


I am surprised that Addis Ababa is living comfortably from the effects of the war. Once the war effects reach Addis ABaba, Zenawi will get a taste of his own medicine.
