Money saving and generating thread!
Ok inshallah in this thread we should all post methods in which we can save or generate money.
Firstly in terms of saving....
Always budget your monthly expenses, either mentally or write it down. Theres not a better feeling when you come under budget for a month.
In supermarkets (UK), theres aisle that runs directly down the middle of the store, this aisle contains all the special promotion on branded goods. Usually the company makes little or no money on this aisle, instead they receive money from the producers of the goods. Stock up on this aisle, i bought enough dedorant, shower gel, creme and shaving goods to last me a year. (I know this because i worked in retail for 4 years).
For university students, apply for all hardship, special grants from your uni. Walahi this helps, i even finished uni debt free alhamdulilah.
Online shopping, dont be afraid, i usually go into store, observe the goods and then buy it at a fraction of the price on the internet. There are a lot of start up e companies that sell really low, even making a lost. However these companies usually go bankrupt in the first few month, therefore a quick realiable find is key.
Inshallah add more, i'll also add more later

I think that's the key, once you've got a really good grip on your income vs your outgoings then you'll definitely save money.*Nobleman* wrote:Ok inshallah in this thread we should all post methods in which we can save or generate money.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Every Muslim has to give in charity." The people then asked: "(But what) if someone has nothing to give, what should he do?" The Prophet replied: "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked: "If he cannot find even that?" He replied: "He should help the needy who appeal for help." Then the people asked: "If he cannot do (even) that?" The Prophet said finally: "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds, and that will be regarded as charitable deeds." - Sahih Al-Bukhari,
