Crysis is better for the money. Battlefield 2 has been out for three years and requires the same hardware performance. Still, I'm not big on multiplayer games since they get too addictive. I only play strategy games. I would say, save your money until Fall/Winter 2008. Some serious games are coming out on PC:

Empire: Total War (Newest Total War Game, successor to Medieval: Total War, with new engine and spans the ENTIRE globe in the 1700s era)

Spore (made by Sims' creator, Spore has been in progress for 8 years and is anticipated to be the greatest game ever made)
