How to tell ur friend that u like him more than a friend?

This is liya saying what'z up from Canada , i just have 1 little question and i would appreciated if yall answer me in an honest way . Let's say u have this good friend in ur life and u and that friend have been great friends for a while . U like the friend and u want the Friend to be more then just a Friend. ( sorry for saying friend like 100 times ) So my question is , How can u take what u already have to the next level without destroying the powerful friendship? even tho u know that ur friend likes u and he wants it to be more and u are shy to let him know that u feel the same way.
