Voltage i have a habar gidir neighbor who believes in that stuff. We attended these cult sessions once- and lets say ...i didn't walk out alone. I felt dizzy and a little bit hot. Isn't the purpose of this ceremonies-- to bring out jiniis?? Is it some sort of exoricism??? I mean, seriously---we dismissed this habar gidir mother by rolling our eyes and say-- yes they habar gidir. But i see u and mystic r obsessed with it now. I think its blasphamous to believe in such things right?? I mean-- where do u draw the lines??

Basra supposedly these things are spiritual and the dances are following the "saar" spirit/dance that is also prevalent in Egypt and Sudan but I tend to believe the real objective of such sessions are not "spiritual beings" in nature but rather simple social/dance functionaries. Our people, following their conservative tradition, just do not want to admit that like all other peoples they just want to shake their pompoms with the opposite sex ever so once in a while.

Why can't I seem to differentiate between Somali dances? They all look the same to me, like some exorcism type shit. :?

I see your point, it is a social custom, the egypt mention kinda takes me to your archaic articles--speaking of it-- WHERE ARE THEY????? i need some analysis challenge walaal. :x Anyway, if u mean it is a custom thing dating back to egypt, well then --black magic comes to mind. The story of prophet moses, who we can suspect hails from egypt had a prominent story of magicians competeing with his stick of snake. The very existance of such stories-- coupled with Qurans mention of the existance of jiinis --i mean according to this habar gidir woman- there are good ones and bad ones-- jinnis do exist. The question is- where do we draw the line? People like Hyper who are wadaaad yes, and easily influenced with something as superstitious as jiini mingiis-- are victims .

 in Khalid they read quran on them.. But these people especially in what i used to see in xamar they offer food and gifts to the Jinn... They pour blood on the person for blessing sometimes... Just the other night a shayk was talking about this at khalid..

They ask favours and associate Jinns with Allah..

They dance and play the drums... I seen it couple of times as a kid...Nothing to do with deen..

Now a days it doesnt happen as much though alxamduallah.. Shayks have almost cleared most places of such practices but it does still occur..

Basra if you thought the above video was disturbing watch this one. The Bantu man (and most people who profess professionalism in this are Bantus and minorities) talks SCIENTIFICALLY about his treatment for "mingis" and performs a ceremony on a young boy who is "possessed".

*Viewer Discretion is Advised. This video is disturbing. :|

Go the second half of the video to watch the Bantu's interview and the ceremony.

Walan weyne thing? :? Why must you plug that into nearly every post of yours? No wonder people on here think you're weird.

Alchemist,

My bad, I thought they physically beat them.
