A BUS driver convicted of killing a grandmother and maiming her granddaughter will be sentenced today.

Somalian Ismail Ahmed, 43, of Emerald Square, Southall, faces the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted of dangerous driving and two counts of grievous bodily harm at Richmond Crown Court in May.

The father-of-three ploughed into the a 65-year-old grandmother, injured her 35-year-old daughter and crushed the leg of her two-year-old granddaughter so severely it had to be amputated, on April 25 last year at Mortlake bus station.

He is due to be sentenced at Richmond Crown Court today.

the only reason possibility of a lengthy prison sentence is because of the people that died in that accident were important people, they were related to very important MPs.
