The USA is more then happy with the current situation in somalia.No UN soldiers are coming, ethoipia is never leaving somalia.This whole meeting's aim is to create a division in the insurgency, ala hamas and fatah.They will move the goal post till sharif losses all credibility, then disgard him.

The question is: will america allow their secret dream ruined by the removal of ethiopians?? US went to iraq for oil, and sent ethiopians for the oil. I dont think so.

On BBC interview one of the callers asked him how can he tell the same people he orded to fight till the Ethiopias leave and publically reject them now?

How can he make a deal with the same very TFG he said he wouldnt meet with?

How does he honestly expect the same very UN who allowed Ethiopia to invade Somalia to start with to bring enough troops while they cant even find troops for Sudan?

Why didnt they make deals with TFG while they were stronger in Sudan, why now that the whole country is under Ethiopia's control..

Sherif was sell out from get go!. He was not part of the wahabia cult. In fact, he is from Alla Shiekh sect--small Sufia group. He was son-inlaw of the Dahir Awes and of course that is how he jumped the United Islamic Courts bandwagon.

No I really don't think they will leave. The deal isn't decisive enough. Ethiopians are supposed to leave within 120 days, when sufficient UN troops are deployed. Meaning if UN troops aren't deployed they won't leave. Also, what concludes sufficient, since they don't give us a nu,ber.

I don't think they will leave, but I don't think he has destroyed his name. He has done his part of the deal, now its up to the TFG and co. to do there part.

The U.N will be the deal breaker. They won' bring any UN troops, and the deal will die subsequently. The only way for a real reconciliation for Somalis is for Qabiil elders to get together and sit under tree and solve the conflict in the traditional reer miye way. An Eritrean and Ethiopian puppets can't change anything. Both of TFG and ICU have no real power on the ground to be honest. Why are they promising something they cant' fulfill? The TFG can't kick out Ethiopia if they want, and the ICU can' tell Al-shabab to stop the madness.

Laakin Alchemist, a lot of people were asking these questions in realtime While they wre happening but were called "Munafiqiin, dhabadilif etc." for doing so. Why must We second guess and ask the questions, hold people accountable when its too late?
