Re: DISPATCHES: From Jail To Jihad
Yep it was mostly nonsense, i watched 15mins and relaised it was some poorley made propaganda so swtiched to the football. Channel 4 has a serious obession with muslims.
Yes there are a lot of muslims who convert because they see islam as extreme and criminal deen. Laakin the overwhelming majority of reverts practice better than the average muslim and are peaceful and law abiding people.

Assalamu a'leykum,
i didnt watch it but we shouldnt care about what the kufaar think, or what gives us a bad name in their eyes. We are not created to please them. and something which they might see as being unpraisworthy, might be something good in the sight of Allah.
MAy Allah free the muslim prisoners, and give the victory to the mujahideen in every place. Ameen.

Re: DISPATCHES: From Jail To Jihad
Actually supprisingly I found it OKAY, I was expecting worse.
The presenter I think is Muslim but Allah knows best, 'Amil Khan' sounds muslim.
They even interviewed the Imam from Brixton Masjid and he gave some positive feedback, so I think towards the end the programme changed slightly. But the Imam had me thinking.. MashaAllah his doing great work with the lost youth who think its 'cool' to be Muslim, getting them off the streets by providing projects, schemes they can get involved in. But he is limited in what he can do, finacially. Although the government have an initiative for this kinda thing;
to mix muslim kids with christain kids (schools particularly faith ones having play time together, matches, outings and other events), teaching Imams Basic English..etc Its about community cohesian. & to be fair its the same thing the Imam at Brixton is doing, yet he is labelled as an extremist for being salafi, for going against free mixing etc. So the gov doesnt want to get involved with people like that. His arguement (Imam at Brix) was that because he is proud that he is an extremist from the HAQ he is in a better position to advice these kids, he can tackle them with the correct quranic verses and hadiths in full instead of the misused ones they have. He strongly dismissed any terriorist activity, and suicied isnt a way to paradise!
There was another black guy doing alot of talking aswell he was good, talking about the mentaility of Black-Muslims and gang culture and how he wants to tackle it, how it started and might end.
It was promising in a way, there was one guy they were interviewing all throughout and apparently he was one of the ones mislead at first as a youth and fell into the mistake but he found the truth and is happy his better off. Ohhhhh and there was another brother too talking about the trends and who is behind the deviance, he lives near me, I was soo supprised to see him,Mashallah I remember when he converted.

typical propganda, with the aid of a few government puppets such as these in brixton. look at the so called Imaam who blames muslims for the attacks in afghanistan and Iraq. what happened to dawatal salafiyah they claim ?.. what happened to love and hate for the sake of Allah ?.. or is this not part of this government manhaj they promote. allahul must'aan

Re: DISPATCHES: From Jail To Jihad
this documentry wasnt bad at all! it raised a lot of issues that needed to be adressed.
and who better to go abdul haq baker mashallah... the brothers at brixton masjid do a lot for misguided muslim youth of today. receognised 'muslim bilal' aka ashely in that documentry he came to my uni a couple of times.
so yeh i was expecting sutin else from this documentry but it wasnt that bad.
