My question to you guys is whether or not you have ever bought something off Ebay and if it is trustable, security wise aswell as items conditions.

Check their feed back. Make sure the seller is a power seller with at least 95% good feed back. Paypal is 100% safe. I have made many purchases from ebay, from car parts to weights.
