Why do some Somali tribes have Animal names

Baciidyahan (MJ) = Baciid = Gazalle
Cawlyahan = (og) = Deer
Geri (Daarood), or Ali Geri (Dhulos) = Giraffe - seen beautyfil Geri Koobme gurls with long necks
Ugaaryahan (Dhulos) Ugaar Saleebaan (MJ) = waa Ugaar or wild beasts.
Sacad = sac cad (HG) white Cow
Awrtable (Daarood) Awr = geela ninka ah
Foolculus (Murursade) there is hint of animal with big tusk
Afar qooble (Murursade) = 4 wheel drive (dwd) dad afar qoobleh maa jira.
the list goes on,...............
Do you know anymore?
If u hail from any of the above tribes; then plse explain why your tribe has animal name?

The only one I know why is awrtable...and thats because he use to watch the awr for his reer-abti..asakgo yar ba reer-abtigiis wateen and awrta ayu uu dhaaqinjirey...

well BACIIDYAHAAN got the nickname because they used to hunt gazelles

thats what I thought, but I was told that they got the name cuz they have strayed into unknown territory. wey lumeen sida baciidka.
these animal names are not fair, to make it fair I would name the following tribes after these animals:
Ogaden = Geelyahan (cus they r mostly tall and sport camel like feet
)
Mareexaan = dabangaaleyahan (cuz they like quule like the squirrel
)
Dameeryahan = Abgaal
Warsangali = kaluunyahan
Jareer = jeeryahan
Habar Gidir = habar dugaagyahan
Murursade = dhurwaayahan (another name 4 afarqooble)
Isaaq = Ari baraaryahan (cuz they chew grass)

Jamaal, gemini is right Biciidyahan got their names cos' they used to hunt gazelles. Biciid, Deer and Cawl are different types of gazelles. Im far from qaldaan sxb
