no joke honest question , i have got a new job, and today was my first day with them, during the interview no one told me about FINGER PRINTIN so went to the badging department and they took my freaking finger print , iam researching if this is a legal

do you guys ever experienced something like this?

never heard of that..it may be for identification reasons..wlaahi checking the 411 and all that is getting out of control now days ma is tiri..hmm if they did it for the purpuses of a your 411 background check..i think then they should have notified you that your employment was conditional pending the results of the check.. and again, they should have provided you with a release to sign....

I know they do some security and back ground checks when they hire you for certain jobs..but finger printing??

Ofcourse dude..........Specailly in the financial world they finger print people....When I started my current job they finger printed me and I had to take drug test.......

I had to go to the local county jail to be fringer printed....


Worst of all was when they told me that they are going to check my credit standing.......


Alxamdullilah everything went well.......


when you are going to handle accounts that held over billion on daily bases you should be finger printed and background check should be done too...

Usually they just ask for a criminal check

SDM if your handleing accounts over a billion as you so claimed....you would need access codes to get into the system...just beacuse they have ur finger prints really means nothing....I work at a bank, Ive never been finger printed...but I have a pswd and access number to everything....so if i do something, it can be traced back....finger priting isnt gonna do anything..u knwo how many hands exhcnage a single bill a day....means jack to the financial industry....

Wallahi any one who works for Major financial institutions have to be finger printed...

If you are going to deal with money they will finger print you......I don't think Semiconductor company will finger print you...

Password is something that you obtain from system admin....But what we are talking about here is that to make sure you are not a criminal (in this case thief)..

Wallahi I have been finger printed so do the thousand that work where I work..

Sxb all the major Financial Institutions require finger print and if you refuse you will not get the job...Simple........If you do not want to be finger printed look in to other industry

Perhaps your exprience is locally based. They dont do that here in Canada...I have alot of frriends that work at bank and fund companies....none of them have been finger printed....even JPM

May be tuugada baa kuyar Canada.....I work for a Major Financail Institution wallahi they have very strick rules...They even blocked a web based email......stupid..

I don't mind been finger printed if I'm going to get a great job...
