Is Qabiil Ideology Decreasing in you or Increasing in You
Hey folks,
as you grow older and become more educated in islam or western education, do you think the qabiil Mentality is decreasing in you or increasing in you or you are being the same.
In other words are you more qabiileste than before or less?
let us discuss.

Which would make you a qabilist.Shankaroon_614 wrote:I was never Qabiliste but I loved my qabiil very much

All Somalis are qabilist to some extent, so your question is pretty ridiculous.

Very true. If you're born into a qabil, you have a tendency to favor that qabil ( through defending them, being more offended when they're insulted vs. when other qabils are insulted, feeling a sense of kinship with those of your qabil, donating to your qabils causes etc), thus making you a qabilist. There's a spectrum of qabilism, but I won't get into that right now. 8)

Qabilism is the blatant belittling, insulting and in Somalia, the murdering of Somalis based on the qabil. Loving your qabil over anything else, even going to jannah. Bigging up your qabil to some larger than life status and becoming obsessed with it and glancing over anything it has to do with it. Blinding supporting causes without any objective reasoning and no sense of basic right and wrong, only the power that your qabil may attain if they kill so and so or do this and that.
Thats Qabilism
In Islam, you are supposed to uphold your ties of kinship, its in the sunnah. But with anything people are jahhil and abuse it like village idiots.
In the Somali case, desert idiots in their fockin little huts. Fighting and stealing their geel

Dude, that's extreme qabilism. There's different forms of qabilism; there are moderate qabilists, seasonal qabilists, non-practicing qabilists etc. You're looking at this from a very simplistic viewpoint. This isn't a black and white issue, there are some very gray areas ( areas which the qabilism spectrum accounts for).FAH1223 wrote:Not true.Ashlee wrote:Very true. Qabyalaad is a mental disease, its one thing to uphold your ties of kinship, nothing wrong with it. BUT when you still are obsessed with various clans, when you are obsessed with your clan to the point where everyone else is some sort of enemy, something is wrong....and thats a mental problem which needs counseling.
I think a lot of Somalis need mental counseling, mental medicine or something. Because a lot of them are sick in the head. I think it explains a lot of things.

Now you're using Western terminology to explain an Eastern practice, how very American of you Fah.FAH1223 wrote: And you're looking at it like it is a religion. Its nothing, especially in the Western World.

Qabilism can not be classified as a mental disease/disorder because it is the norm.

Re: Is Qabiil Ideology Decreasing in you or Increasing in You
Ashlee is right, it is normal. I don't know about your clan sxb but in my clan we are all related so of course I'm going to favor them over other Somalis, which means I'm a qabiliste.
