Two Germans Held Hostage, NATO too weak to Act

Sarkozy & France acted in a decisive manner to deal with such criminals who hijacked their nationals. Yet Germany which is a member of NATO has failed to act.

NATO's patrols off Somalia are not tackling piracy & have shown themselves to be too weak and useless towards combating piracy.

Look at these victims:







NATO must act to safeguard its citizens. The pirates should be captured and brought to trial. Pressure should be exerted on the Administration of the area to either free these hostages or receive no UN aid for the whole region.

horta i thought that france and the us sended forces to fight the pirates. why are they still succesfull to capture and held hostages if these pirates are weak?

France comes to Somali soil. Arrests Somali's on Somali soil. Takes them to France and tries them French courts for a "crime" that was committed in Somalia.

Somalilands behind this, the 2 held are there for the port. PL has nothing to do with this

^No doubt SL is at war with Sanaagian people in particular and Puntland in general.
The Reconstruction of the Port is scheduled to take place very soon, but such stupid kidnappings and holding of hostages near the town where the project is supposed to start would sure have a far-reaching implications on the region's peaceful image.

But Sanaagians who are known to have resiliency, resourcefulness and unity of purpose, will overcome this crisis without any harm to the innocent couple.
