Mothers Can't Raise Sons

Every young boy needs a father. I find it amazing that some men defer the raising of their children to their wives. A boy needs a male role model in his life and respects his father differently from his mother. A boy fears his father and backs down.

My nephews whose father (AUN) passed many years ago behave differently when I tell them to do something that their mother has already told them to do. They know that I am not kidding and will deliver the on my threats.

So to save our young boys, we need to all be better role models for them and take care of them.

Emperior,

True saxiib very true.

I worry the most for the boys who do not become as successful as the girls who face a lot more pressure.

What they need is a parent who is loving, supportive and empathetic to their needs. A parent who spends time with them, installing values, stability, encouraging their interests and fostering them independence.Which is why women are better able to do this than men.And being "a REAL man" will come naturally, or through life lessons.

Children need both a mother and father figure in their lives.

In today's Somali society there are plenty of Baby daddies but not enough fathers. I still blame the mothers mostly. :|
