The Verse of the Throne

Post by Ni Hao »

Allahu la ilaha illa Huwa, Al-Haiyul-Qaiyum La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm, lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-'ard Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnihi Ya'lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahum, wa la yuhituna bi shai'im-min 'ilmihi illa bima sha'a Wasi'a kursiyuhus-samawati wal ard, wa la ya'uduhu hifdhuhuma Wa Huwal 'Aliyul-Adheem

"Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory)."

Thanks for sharing, i always read that verse many times during the day.

I remember when i was in college, a friend of mine told me about how a girl she knows went with her friends to visit Sayyida Hussein mosque neighborhod in Cairo and they stopped by one of the near by cafe for a something drink. All of them were food poisoned except for one who read ayah al Kursi before she started to drink! I was amazed.

I have also read in one of the books, that this guy who had a house for rent. For some reason, each and everytime he rented it out, the people just run away from the house because they felt a weird presence of some sort. For months, the owner didnt know what to do untill one day he was advised to read quran esp ayah al Kursi. Apparenty there was a Jinni living in the house and got burned when he heard he verse. Later the owner had no problems.

Ayah al Kursi is indeed so powerful.

I remember I was 4 when I memorized Ayatul Kursi...my father would recite it to me every night before I went to bed. And one night I asked him to teach me. He said that if I am ever scared, lonley, anxious, sad, upset I should recite it.
My mom would always recite it when she left the house and she would recite it to when she would drive us anywhere.

I Love you mom
I Love you dad!
