Before you leave Cairo, make sure you visit the following places:

1) Khan el Khalili: in that market they have great souvenirs but make sure that the egyptians do not out smart you.



2) Salahuddin Citadel




3) Sayyidna El Hussein Neighborhood (Haay El-Hussein) and pray in the masjed

4) The Pyramids and eat lunch at the Menahouse

5) The Egyptian Museum in Al Tahrir Square

6) Cairo Opera


Dishes:

1) Al Koushari from Koushari Al Tahrir
2) Mango Juice from Al Farqali store near Dokki Square (Middan Al Doki under the small bridge)
3) Try Egyptian pie called Fetera---its quite tasty
4) Try the Falafel from Caferia Nima in El Gouza ---people used to say its good!
5) ofcourse you have to try their foul midamis and wheat bread
