Re: Ali Duuh
100% of all somali poets were against the rif raffs so called Devrish , every Ogaden poet from Qamaan to Cilmi Raage were against the Mullah, every Habar Jeclo poet from Dirir warsame to Salaan were against the deviles, every Garxajis poet from Bare Jaajaale to Salaax Laydiray were against the deviles.
Its has nothing to do with clan, they were just a punch of theifing thugs thats all.

Re: Ali Duuh
Most poets might have been against the dervish movement, but the people overwhelming supported them from HY to OG to Dhulbahante. But still, the poems are interesting. They should all be translated to english.

Rebel,
The Sayid killed awfully lot of his clan members, the dhulbahante.
I think he only spared 1 sub clan as I being told.
The man was crazy for most part. He robed Garxajis of alot of xoolo.

Re: Ali Duuh
He was ultra nationalist and had positve intentions for most part. But screwed things up later on. I think he lacked foresight. He expected somalis to jump to his ship all of sudden. That did not happen for him. So wuu yara khafiifay and his dervish turned into killing machine, camel robing sort of gung group operating from taleex.
Re: Ali Duuh
Waryada, I didn't open this topic so you can take shots at the great dervish movement and the sayid. But for education purposes. Sayidka fought with every qabil even he's own and he stood against colonialists, even if he made mistakes.

Rebel When ali dhuux saw that dhulbahante were the only who supported the sayid to the end and every somali clan alligned with the Invaders he wanted to save them from the destruction that was coming.
Tens of thousands of men died in battle wells were destroyed lifestock taken or burnt the women & children who escaped died of hunger & thirst or were eaten by lions hyenas snakes and foxes.
He wanted to save his people from war but nobody listened to him they were warlike but he knew this was coming he risked his life time and again standing up to the sayid.
