Jihad in the early period VS. Jihad in the modern world
Jihad in the early period:
http://www.bahai-library.org/personal/j ... had.html#2
Jihad in the modern world:
"...unlike with the earlier manifestations of jihad, the modern Muslim world now features no centralized authority for interpreting scripture and applying the resulting religious judgements to the civil sphere. Hence, jihad is now, as a recent article states, "freelance": "the result is that almost any band of Muslim malcontents who resent the way the world has treated them can read in the Koran a moral warrant for the most nuance-blind carnage."

So now we are quoting the Bahai faith to make a point that Ethiopia's presence is legit.
If it would seal the seat, they would convert to Bahaism or Budhism, it doesn't matter

What did you expect? Did you expect a secular to copy/paste from Wahhabi/Salafi sites or online libraries?

Laa xawla walaa quwata ilaa bilaah....did you just quote from the Bahai of Iran and not even know what you were doing?
This guy is more ignorant about Islam than my 3 year old cousin. Sxb for your own good meel fadhiiso and try to get educated. You are not in any position to try to burn your hands now.

This paper was written by a university student as a background for his master's thesis at the University of Toronto.

Never heard of Bahai's before and they shouldn't matter since their website happen to be one of the many sites that carry this university students well thought of research paper. So lets cut the monkey see monkey do business and discuss the issue at hand here.
The university students raises a lots of good points and the fact is that he puts some thoughts I've been pondering about into clear context when he said, "unlike the earlier manifestations of jihad, the modern Muslim world now features no centralized authority for interpreting scripture and applying the resulting religious judgements to the civil sphere. Hence, jihad is now, as a recent article states, "freelance": "the result is that almost any band of Muslim malcontents who resent the way the world has treated them can read in the Koran a moral warrant for the most nuance-blind carnage."
Did we not witness such freelance in Somalia?...Ex-Thugs are calling Jihad of all people in Somalia. They've lost on the political arena and now it seems they've turned to religion only to take it out of context.
