Tight Race in MN: 10,000 Somalis May Be Crucial for OBAMA

Post by Nolol cusub »

"A separate study published Thursday by Quinnipiac University showed McCain has gained ground in several key battleground states, and has surpassed Obama in Colorado.

The survey showed McCain is close on Obama's heels in Michigan and Minnesota, and other polls have shown McCain ahead in some key states usually considered Democratic bastions, such as New Hampshire.

Given those odds, Obama's camp considers it crucial that he win other key states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada and New Mexico."

The presidential race would be much closer if the MN governor gets the VP slot.

Questions for Obama's campaign:

Are Obama people different from Bush adminstration when it comes to Somalia?
If so, has Obama's people articulated it anywhere either in their campaign websites or affiliated boggers?

Vote for Obama by Somali Americans would depend on his foreign policy regarding to Somalia. We will not vote for Obama becuase he is Black. Somalis will cast their votes based on their interest, and we know our interest just as Cuban and Jews do.

Obama, if elected, will have no control or say over America's foreign policy. So, Somali Americans should rethink voting for Obama.

And should vote for Mcain instead??

What other alternatives do you have?? Somalis will have doubled in 8 yrs . so next time they will be a force to reckon with in MN..just incase some1 takes them lightly or promises them false campaign panders.

Of course they are.

Foreign policy is what moves most of the recent immigrants towards one candidate or another..esp in The US..
Look at the Jews?? the Cubans..heck even some of the Europeans..so thats natural.

But ppl vote based on their pockets and the conomy too..and for somalis there is no Q..democrats are always the safer choice.

Barack Obama talks to CNN's Candy Crowley about his overseas trip

On why his trip didn't include a visit to a mosque:

"We have jammed about as much as we could have in a week, but in terms of our Muslim outreach back in America, in terms of my consistent message, it's always been that I have the deepest respect for the Muslim community.

"One of the things I want to do in my first year in office is convene a summit of Muslim countries, so that some of the suspicions and mistrust that has developed between the United States and the Muslim world can be broken down. We're going to need the help of all people of goodwill -- especially Muslims of goodwill -- if we are going to solve some of these problems.

-----

Obama's strategy is to wait until he is elected. But how would people know the specifics what you would do if you do not articulate?

Unless Senator Obam articulates how he is going to solve Washington's starvation programs in Somalis and its war on Somali people we have no reason to vote for Obama. That means no voting at all.

^No voting also means Mcain winning which in consequence means more of the same if not worse than what we have right now.

I say go for the unknown since he has the potential to turn good for muslims and/or bad .

I don't believe it is a good reason to vote for Obama because McCain is scary. Why vote for Obama if he is no different from the republicans when it comes to Somalia. It is even disrespect to Somali people for Obama not to talk about issues Somali people care and at the same time expect them to vote for him. That is like saying Somali people are animals and they don't deserve my efforts. "They are just too happy to vote for me"

Let see of Somalis are that stupid.
