The antiSuufi forces are gathering steam. They disrupt our events. Preach their intolerant views. They bring their $$$ and create projects to spread their philosophies with the ideology of "ONLY IF U SUPPORT OUR VIEWS will you get any charity from us"

We can't even have funerals without a Salafi showing up and preaching his views during the most solemn of all ocassions. Walle, I would have thrown that Salafi wadaad into the hole but my friend (AUN) would have had to be buried with one

A siyaaro can not occur without a Salafi preaching that it is sinful.

You will hardly see a Suufi preaching to a Salafi and asking him to change. But a Salafi will try to recruit you into the Cult of Abdulwahab

AbdiWahab252, if Suufis create their own armies, they would cease being Suufis. The whole ideology of Sufism revolves around Suufis being passive, docile, compliant, cooperative, etc.

The Sufis conquered Africa south of the Sahara, Europe as far as Chechnya and India through Indonesia.......with their hearts and minds. Ahmed Gurey lasted five years. Sayidka was responsible for the deaths of a third of northern manpower and died in Ethiopia at the hands of the Aweysiyya.

Far too little has been said of the influence of Aweys al Baraawe and the other Somali Sufis.

AW your hate of the salafis stems from their actions in hawiyedom.Even the mooriyons cant hold back the irressistable force that is salaafism.

Personally I'm struggling with my preyer....All these people with such strong opinions should focus their energies on the simple things in Islam.Thats my two pence, to the religion fever of late.

the turkik ghazis who devoted thier entire life to jihad and conquered northern india
in the 12th century were sufis.(the delhi sultanate evolved from those mujahideen forces)

a couple of thousand kilometeres west the same ghazi bands fought the byzantines after the the demise of mongol influence, one of those ghazi bands of about 300-500 men
and thier sufi spirutual leaders started the Ottoman sultanate.

the jannisarries one of the first and greatest professional fighting forces were sufis,
every regiment had thier sufi zawiya, and had leaders of the bektashi order with them in every battle from the 1300's till the 1840s.

every ottoman sultan by tradition had his own sufi shiekh as a mentor.

another example would be imaam shamiil of dagestan. that united the muslims of the caucuses against the russians and inflicted humliating defeats on the russian army
and massacred cossack settlers. the only way the russians put a stop to the war was burining down hundreds of sqaure miles of forest, and targeting the civilians for extermination. the war stopped when they exterminated about 50% of the population.
