What is in our blood that attracts to move around? When I came back to N. America just last week after living in Somalia for 10 years, all my friends and relatives in here are telling me; they also want to move back. If you ask them why, most of them will tell you so and so are doing well back there, so I must move too. Waxaad mood reer miyigii roobka daba raaci jiray oo kale. What do you think is causing this copy cat nomadic style?

Stupidity, not having a good career, not being stable, lack of fatherhood responsibility, renting apartment vs. owing a nice house. And the answer is, Somalis like too follow each other. 10-15 years ago most of the somalis living in North- America lived in California. Today the vast majority live in Minnesota, Ohio,Seattle etc. Weey is racen.

Somali's think the grass is always greener on the other side, must be the nomadi spirit or they just go after where there is more welfare money. Nomad is just code for being lazy, and some somali's are lazy.

yes I was there and will go back inshallah within 3 weeks. BTW, it is ture that we fellow each other, but why?

SXB walaahi I have seen many sold their house and quit their good paying job, and moved, simply someone they knew went and succeeded. They dont even have plan before they move, but just because Htologist moved and got few projects of the ground that is all they need to justify their relocation. I have seen many in Mogadishu and Hargeysa. When I asked them why did you come back here, their answers are always the same; "you made it and I think can do to." After they lose so much money and time, then you seem them cursing and blaming the locals for their failure.
